Dior Haute Couture heels

Metal chainmail heels, Christian Dior haute couture Spring/Summer 2014

Christian Dior presented his first haute couture collection in the

Dior salons on Avenue Montaigne February 12 1947. With nipped-in

waists, high necks, narrow shoulders and full skirts, the collection

heralded a new silhouette for fashion, the New Look. This heritage

has been celebrated ever since by the house of Dior and Raf Simons,

who took the helm as creative director in April 2012, via the haute

couture collections as the ultimate demonstration of the house’s creativity

and expertise. Today, the Belgian designer presented his third haute

couture collection for Dior, for Spring/Summer 2014, at the Musée

Rodin in Paris as per each season. The girls walked out in silver buckle

and cube chainmail heels rimmed with tiny roses, Christian Dior‘s

favorite flower.
