USB Bracelets by
eBay & CFDA

eBay has teamed up with the CFDA to create

a new line in wearable technology: bracelets

that double as USB chargers.

eBay and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have enlisted

the help of five American designers to create a range of bracelets that double

as USB smart phone chargers. The wraparound bracelets – reminiscent of

multicoloured snap-bands from the 90s – have a USB connector at one end

and a micro USB at the other, and come with adaptors which make them

compatible with iPhones.Designers Rachel Zoe, Mara Hoffman, Michael Bastian,

Shipley & Halmos and Milly have each created a limited edition print for the

bracelets, which cost $25 on eBay with all proceeds going to the CFDA.With

wearable gadgets previously the domain of the super rich, the super nerdy, or

both, perhaps this collaboration marks the beginning of haute couture technology.

The Holiday Collective USB bracelets will be available on eBay from November 11
