KANYE for A.P.C
Ready to wear label A.P.C is to launch a capsule
collection with Kanye West, available from July 14.
On July 7, A.P.C founder Jean Touitou tweeted a photo
of a pair of jeans featuring an “A.P.C Kanye” label, announcing
an upcoming collaboration with Kanye West which hits stores
July 14. The brand, which organizes concerts, promotes artists
and produces t-shirts featuring the likenesses of famous
musicians, enters the music business once again alongside the
US rapper, who has just released copies of new album Yeezus in a
blank jewel case that’s as minimalist as a pair of A.P.C jeans.
Kanye is no stranger to the world of fashion – he made his debut
in 2009 with stylish, low-key trainers in collaboration with Louis
Vuitton. In the same year he launched the futuristic Air Yeezy with
Nike, followed by a second, more avant garde model – Yeezy 2 – in 2012.
A front row Fashion Week regular, 2011 saw Kanye try his hand at a
ready-to-wear womenswear collection, which would last for two seasons.
The fruits of his new collaboration: jeans, a sweatshirt and a t-shirt
will be available in A.P.C stores worldwide, specially open on Sunday
June 14 to celebrate Bastille Day in style.
