Zaha Hadid for United Nude

The Nova shoe by Zaha Hadid for United Nude  in black,

gold, rose gold and chrome-finished emerald green.

Award-winning Iranian architect Zaha Hadid

has come together with Rem D. Koolhaas, creator

of ultramodern footwear United Nude, to create

a futuristic steel-finished shoe.

It’s a collaboration inspired by architecture, that comes with a

whole new mode of production using revolutionary molding

techniques. Iranian architect Zaha Hadid, winner of the 2004

Pritzker prize (the architectural equivalent of the Nobel Prize),

has collaborated with Rem D. Koolhaas, founder of futuristic

footwear label United Nude, to create the Nova shoe. An innovative

steel-finished, glass-fiber design, combining metallic vinyl rubber

and Italian nappa leather in vertiginous fashion, Nova features

zig-zag ridges which borrow heavily from Hadid’s avant garde

structures. Bringing together the complex architectural techniques

of Zaha Hadid and the originality of Rem D. Koolhaas, this

shoe’s stripped-back framework transcends the codes of fashion

and architecture. The Nova shoe by Zaha Hadid for United

Nude is available to order exclusively at Parisian retailer

L’Eclaireur, in black, gold, rose gold and chrome-finished

emerald green, priced  at €1,500.
