Without a doubt one of the most important events of the European musical scene. The popular music festival
that has been held since 1970 in Pilton, about 10km from Glastonbury in Somerset England. It was 1970, the
day after the death of Jimi Hendrix, and 1,500 people paid a pound to pitch their tent and attend two days of
concerts. The festival was then called Pilton Pop Blues & Folk Festival, then in 1971 became the current
Glastonbury Festival, fixture in the English countryside during the period of the summer solstice.
