Zac Posen is turning his hand to bridal design
by creating Truly Zac Posen a collection for David’s
bridal, the US’s affordable one-stop-shop for all
things wedding dress-related.
New York designer Zac Posen has teamed up with affordable
US bridal wear giant David’s Bridal to produce his first ever
collection of wedding gowns. The store has already collaborated
with Vera Wang on a hugely successful range, White by Vera
Wang, which offers her signature, world-famous bridal wear at a
more affordable price point, and they’re hoping Posen’s efforts will
be just as popular. Named Truly Zac Posen, the collection will be
priced from $850 to $1,350 in sizes 4 to 18 on davidsbridal.com .
It’s not Posen’s first foray into the world of weddings – he had a brief
flirtation when he created a custom-made gown for model Coco Rocha
to wear when she married James Conran in 2010.
“For lots of women, they only get their wedding as their major
opportunity to wear a gown – to have that romantic, nostalgic,
red-carpet moment. Here they’ll be able to go to David’s Bridal,
they’ll be able to get the dress have it fit, and have a really unique,
special piece. I’ve never seen any product like this at the market
at this incredible price point.” Zac Posen
