All the items owned by late Diana Vreeland,

Editor of American Harpers Bazaar and Us

Vogue, are to be auctioned in London.

 

Diana Vreeland edited the American edition of Harper’s

Bazaar  for 26 years from 1936 before taking the editor’s chair

at US Vogue for a decade in 1963, her clothes now have been

put up for auction by a close family friend,  including an haute

couture gown she commissioned from Yves Saint Laurent to

wear to the Met Ball in 1985. Also will be sold an Yves Saint

Laurent evening jacket owned by Vreeland dated 1981, which

is embellished with enamel and rhinestone buttons and many

many things.
