Presented in world premiere at the Salone del Mobile in Milan

a unique collection of plates, cups and tablecloths born from

the collaboration between the magazine by Maurizio Cattelan

and Pierpaolo Ferrari and Seletti, the Italian design company.

Black humor dipped in pastel colors: from the encounter between

Seletti Italian design company, and Toiletpaper, the magazine

of images, by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari was born

an unusual and unique collection of plates, cups and tablecloths

that will be presented in world premiere at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

A selection of images taken from the magazine by Maurizio Cattelan

and Pierpaolo Ferrari become the motif of the collection: a prancing

horse, the cuttedfingers and a pulp interpretation of the famous

“I love you” decorate cups and glasses; a fish stuffed of precious

stones, and a full table of “unexpected” guests looming large on the

tablecloths. Tin and waxed, the materials in the collection

Toiletpaper-Seletti, they are perfectly in line with the spirit of

the pop magazine: cheap and widespread, never sectoral.

“Often we love to take photos and make them realize in objects,

clothes, accessories ” says Pierpaolo Ferrari. “The images of

Toiletpaper can become a swimsuit as a Formula 1 car.

The important thing is that it is not distorted the spirit of t

he magazine, ironic and disturbing at the same time.

Today, thanks to Seletti, some images have managed

to become real objects, we hope to succeed”.

The collection is previewed from 9 to 14 April at

the Spazio Rossana Orlandi. Then, it will be for sale

in an international selection of specialty stores from the

month of July and on-line at Yoox.com, with prices

ranging from 10 to 20 euro.
