Bottega Veneta
Skies and Beyond

Bottega Veneta box designed by Nancy Lorenz

For her 3rd collaboration with Bottega Veneta,

Nancy Lorenz has created a new series of abstract

boxes, inspired by nothing other than space itself.

Bottega Veneta and Nancy Lorenz have unveiled their

third collaboration with the new Skies and Beyond collection

of chests, featuring the abstract artwork of the painter.

The American designer created 25 boxes for Bottega Veneta,

which will be put on display at the Milan Salone del Mobile

furniture and interiors show from April 9 to 14. The unique

pieces, covered in either tanned leather or suede, feature

the artist’s abstract work inspired by the planets and space.

The painter, whose work regularly features in the Chahan

galerie in Paris and the Morgan Lehman gallery in New

York, creates her pieces using precious materials such as

gold, white gold and silver leaf and techniques. Nancy Lorenz

spent five years in Tokyo developing these techniques, and

was awarded with the John Simon Guggenheim prize in

1998 in recognition of her talents. After their brief stop-off

in Milan next week, these mysterious boxes of secrets will then

set sail to be admired in Bottega Veneta stores around the world.
