Tilda Swinton
at MOMA

Tilda Swinton has become a living work of art by taking part in

a “still life” installation at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Sunday 24 March, Tilda Swinton slept in a glass box for eight hours

in the middle of the famed art gallery as surprised visitors watched on.

The actress will participate in the one-person piece a further six times

over the next year, all held in different locations at MOMA.

The installation is called The Maybe and was first held at The Serpentine

Gallery in London in 1995. At the time, the piece attracted 22,000

visitors and received a Turner Prize nomination.
