Dior capsule
at Harrods
From March 16 to April 14, Dior
celebrates British fashion by dressing
the windows and interior of Harrods,
all while revealing an exclusive,
“So British” capsule collection.
After setting up shop in the Paris department store,
Printemps Haussman over the 2012 winter holidays,
Dior has hopped the pond to take over the celebrated
Harrods department store in London. Seated between
humor and poetry, the couture brand’s latest capsule
collection perfectly combines French style with British classics.
For the partnership, Harrods is set to dress its windows
in iconic Christian Dior colors like grey and white, and
honor its heritage by decorating the store in the characteristic
mailboxes and vibrant red telephone booths that spot the streets
of London. Dior‘s British-themed line will be released in
exclusivity for Harrods, featuring a tartan clad Lady Dior bag
and Harrods bear, a snow globe and a pearl necklace that
draws inspiration from the royal pearls worn by the Queen.
To top off the French-English alliance, the Queen’s Royal
Beefeaters will post in front of the department store wearing
uniforms specially designed by Dior‘s creative director, Raf Simons.
