Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway
Argo, directed by Ben Affleck, won the Oscar for Best
Picture in the 85th Academy Awards went on stage last night.
A moment made even more impressive by the person chosen to announce
the winner’s name: directly from the White House has in fact intervened
First Lady Michelle Obama who wanted to give the film an important role
for children because “through films they learn to open their imagination
and dream a little bigger and to work every day to achieve their dreams. “
Lincoln, Argo biggest competitor to the most important victory, it could
console with two awards, among them the award went to Daniel Day-Lewis
who won the Oscar for the Best Actor. The award for Best Actress went to
Jennifer Lawrence for her role in the film Silver Lining Playbook and
she became the youngest actress to win an Oscar.
Ang Lee and his Life of Pi won four Oscars, including best director.
There was also the triumph of Les Miserables which won three statuettes,
including one for the Best Supporting Actress that went to a moved Anne
Hathaway. The Oscar for Best Supporting Actor instead went, for the
second time in three years, to Christoph Waltz, for Django Unchained.
If Amour has won Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film, the Oscar for Best
Original Screenplay went to Quentin Tarantino who praised the quality of
the screenplays in the race this year: “It was the year of the great screenplays.”
Anna Karenina ,meanwhile, brought home the trophy for costumes, and is the
first Oscar for the costume designer Jacqueline Durran. Confirmed the
predictions regarding the award of Best Original Song went to Adele for the
song ”Skyfall” soundtrack of the last James Bond movie.
