J.W. ANDERSON has released pictures of his second Topshop
collection in full for the first time. The SS 2013 line is more pared-down
and modern than his capsule offering for the high street store –
which was met with great success when it launched in September 2013.
“This collection was more about youth cultural groups,” said Anderson.
“The girl has evolved. It’s about carrying over the idea of iconic pieces
that can be worn over and over and re-working staple looks from
the JW Anderson wardrobe.”
Sleek, futuristic, but still with a hint of playfulness, collection highlights
include knit jumpers emblazoned with bold car, animal and heart motifs;
a trench coat reworked in black and beige patent; and kilts in indigo denim.
Accessories come in the form of a duffle bag bearing the designer’s anchor logo
and a selection of loafers in black, pastel pink and silver – some featuring t
hree-inch platform heels. The collection arrives in stores on February 15.
