‘Lady Kalla’ Wristwatch, Vacheron Constantin

 18k gold and diamond

On February 7, Sotheby’s New York will put

a diverse catalog of jewels under the hammer with

a collection of 20th century gems from Cartier,

Van Cleef & Arpels and Tiffany & Co.

It’s a sale that neither constitutes the work of an individual collector,

nor the representation of a particular time period, but the majority

of pieces within this auction originate from the 20th century, meaning

that buyers are set to find an unlikely mix of items from a variety of large houses.

Of particular interest are a vintage diamond Vacheron Constantin watch,

a Cartier brooch in turquoise and braided gold chains from Tiffany & Co. and Verdura.

With octagonal dial and bracelet set with 120 emerald-cut diamonds,

the Lady Kalla features manual movement and is valued between $100,000 and $200,000
